Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park

The Sanjay Gandhi Botanical Park is situated in Patna at the Bailey Road. It is also called the Patna Zoo. The Sanjay Gandhi Botanical Park began operation as a Zoo in the year 1973. The Biological Park has 800 animals including Crocodiles, Jackals, Leopards, Tigers, Clouded Leopards, Indian Rhinoceros, and White Peacock. Since it was started as a botanical garden, there are about 300 species of herbs, shrubs, and trees. There is also a Medicinal Plants’ Nursery, a Glass House, a Rose Garden, and a Fern House. The Park also houses an Aquarium, which has 35 species of fish. The Sanjay Gandhi Botanical Park is a major attraction of the city.
