The Indira Gandhi Planetarium is situated in the Indira Gandhi Science Complex in the city of Patna in India. It is considered one of Asia’s largest planetariums and is a popular attraction of the city. The Indira Gandhi Planetarium is situated on the Bailey Road, about 8 km away from the airport. The planetarium was conceptualized by Shri Satyendra Narain Sinha, the Chief Minister of Bihar state, in 1989 and inaugurated in 1993. The Indira Gandhi Planetarium is frequented by a large number of tourists from around the world. It organizes film shows on astronomy and also conducts exhibitions, which are very popular.
