Patna Museum
The Patna Museum is Bihar's state museum. Founded in the year 1917 to preserve the artifacts recovered in the region, the Patna Museum uses both Rajput and Mughal architectural style and is called 'Jadu Ghar' by the locals. Numerous archaeological objects, art objects, coins, paintings, textiles, sculptures, and images adorn the museum, which is also famous for a beautiful collection related to Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. The museum is also known for the statue of the Didarganj Yakshi, which was discovered on the banks of the Ganges in 1917. The museum also houses a rare collection of paintings belonging to the British period.
