Lake Tsomgo, also known as Changu Lake is a famous tourist destination of Sikkim. This is a glacial lake that enchants visitors with its pristine natural beauty. The lake remains frozen during the winters. The surface of the lake changes colors with changing seasons. Yumthang Valley is a grazing pasture and is surrounded by the majestic Himalayas. This is also known as the 'Valley of Flowers'. The valley remains closed between December and March owing to heavy snowfall. The Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary has more than twenty-four species of the flower! No doubt, then, Rhododendron is Sikkim's state flower!
