The City Palace is one of the most iconic monuments of the Pink City Jaipur. The palace is built in red and pink sandstone and was constructed in the year 1729 A.D. in an architectural style, which is a blend of Indian, Mughal, and European styles. The City Palace was built by Sawai Jai Singh II. The architects of the City Palace are Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob.

The City Palace is located in the heart of the city of Jaipur. The City Palace is a palace complex, including the famous Chandra Mahal and the Mubarak Mahal. There is a museum inside the Chandra Mahal Palace, which delights visitors. The royal family of Jaipur still lives in the Chandra Mahal Palace of The City Palace. Not to be missed is the Shri Govind Dev Ji Temple, Maharani's Palace, Mukut Mahal, and the Chandra Mahal. There are three gates for entry to the City Palace. The gateways are richly ornamented. The Mubarak Mahal is a beautiful fashion of the Rajput, Islamic, and European architecture. It is now a museum, which houses a rich collection of textiles.
